With its roots dating back to 1958, the Australian Good Design Awards is the country’s most prestigious international accolade for design and innovation. The Awards recognise a diverse range of projects from Australia and abroad, encompassing architectural design, engineering, digital and communication design, and emerging fields such as design strategy, social impact and policy design.
Among the standout winners was Ancient Ritual Arc Connected Sauna, which received a prestigious Good Design Award Gold Winner Accolade in the Product Design category for exceptional design and innovation.
"Arc represents a masterful integration of therapeutic infrared heat, ambient light, and high-fidelity sound in a personal in-home sauna. Its AI-driven personalisation enhances the user experience by adapting to individual needs with bespoke programs for meditation and breathwork. The Jury praises the Design Team for delivering a beautifully considered product that combines holistic functionality with a refined, immersive experience for relaxation and stress reduction. This is professional design at its very best. Well done."
This year's entries were rigorously evaluated by more than 80 distinguished Jurors from around the globe, including designers, engineers, architects, and industry leaders.
"It's always an honor to receive a Good Design Australia award especially because we know how selective it is. It’s also an honor to work with companies like Ancient Ritual on a project that is all about designing for human health and wellness. Those are the projects that really matter”, said Dan Harden, CEO and Designer, Whipsaw Inc.
Ancient Ritual’s Arc is an innovative personal sauna designed to provide a multi-sensory experience, including infrared heat, soothing light, high-fidelity surround sound, and software platform that incorporates artificial intelligence to evolve with the user.
